January Brings Conferences Including Intersolar and Projects & Money

As we begin the new year, we're excited for new discussions coming up around renewables and project development. This month, we're keeping an eye on two conferences: the Intersolar North America/Energy Storage North America events from Jan. 13 to 15, and Infocast's Projects & Money event from Jan. 25 to 27. These sessions will generate traction that propels the energy transition forward in 2022.

Intersolar 2022

While we are unfortunately unable to attend Intersolar North America this year, we look forward to seeing what comes out of the conference. This is the first major, in-person solar energy trade show since the beginning of the pandemic, and will really demonstrate how the solar industry has adapted to the new normal of COVID-19. The show provides attendees extensive opportunities to network and do business with solar and energy professionals from around the world. It is a platform for hands-on learning as experts demonstrate design trends and exhibit solar PV and storage installation and maintenance.

Projects & Money Conference

Leyline is proud to be a Silver-level sponsor at Infocast's Projects & Money Conference this year. Projects & Money is an opportunity for top developers and capital providers to meet with others in the project finance community. As a sponsor, we'll have advanced opportunities to connect, share our experience and insight, and learn more about market trends and potential new opportunities. Panels will discuss everything from past and projected clean energy growth and opportunities, power purchase agreements, and how renewables proved resilient during the pandemic, to the potential for green hydrogen, the role of natural gas in the future energy mix, and the Electric Reliability Council of Texas' (ERCOT) power crisis of 2021. Other sessions will focus on current power markets, market reform, tax equity, mergers and acquisitions, and ESG project valuations.

Our own Chief Investment Officer Eric Rubinstein will serve on the 2022 Financing Outlook panel. 2022 is set to be a big year for energy investment as economic activity slowly approaches pre-pandemic levels. Eric will speak on the trends in this new economy and discuss what financiers are looking toward next as society pushes toward decarbonization and clean power. He will address where lenders are committing their capital and what kind of risk profiles they are looking for.

Stay tuned for next month's newsletter for a recap of Eric's comments and our full Projects & Money experience.
